3-Tages-Kurs in USA
Hospitation: endodontische Live-Behandlung, Vortrag und Hands-on
04.-06.11.2010, 28.-30-04-2011, 27.-29.10.2011 - Philadelphia, USA

Aim: to familiarize the interested dentist with the “ the state of the art” in endodontics in both an academic and clinical practice environment.

Day 1.  This day is spent at the endodontic department of the University of Pennsylvania . The basic concepts of using an operating microscope are demonstrated. This is followed by a lecture of the Penn philosophy of apical surgery including a live demonstration by Professor Kim and/or his staff.

Day 2.  This day is spent at the office and teaching facility of Professor Martin Trope. A lecture the combination of biological requirements and technical tools for predictable success in endodontics is followed by a hands-on technique course using different instruments. In addition Dr. Trope demonstrates these techniques on a live patient.

Day 3. This day is spent interacting with endodontic experts from the US in a seminar format. These include Dr. Linda Levin (endodontic diagnosis, root resorption), Dr. Fred Barnett (advances in root canal disinfection agents), Dr. Eric Rivera (tooth/root fractures), Dr. Sam Kratchman (intentional reimplantation),  Dr. Bekir Karabucak (decision making and treatment planning), Dr. Frank Setzer (the implant/retreatment/surgery dilemma), Dr. Noah Chivian (Endodontic gastritis, 40 years experience in endodontics)

              Hands-On: WSR mit retrograder Präparation und Füllung

Für den Hands-On-Teil erhält jeder Teilnehmer wurzelgefüllte Zähne im Gipsblock und führt mit Mikroskop und Ultraschall durch:

      -  Zugangskavität
-  Wurzelspitzenresektion
-  retrograde Präparation
-  retrograde Füllung mit MTA
